RAW MATTERS Joint Ventures feat. toZOMIA and Bears in the Park

OPEN CALL – SITE SPECIFIC WORKS // TENDER STEPS RESIDENCY// 15.05. - 03.06.2023

Raw Matters is continuing the cooperation with toZOMIAand Bears in the Park which will culminate in a public event in and around Sonnwendviertel on Saturday June 3rd.

The residency includes
• 3 weeks rehearsal space
• 3 peer-to-peer artistic support sessions led by artist Mads Floor Andersen on Thursdays from 13:00 to 19:00. The participation in these sessions is mandatory!
• Location Info Tour on 14.05. (Duration aprox. 2hrs) to scout and look for potential performance locations.
• A public performance on 03.06.2023
• Financial contribution: 170 EUR/week/person

The amount is based on an equal collaboration between performance artists, choreographers/directors, live- sound/video designers. ALL participants must be present during the feedbacksessions
We cannot consider technicians, costume designers, production support or any other people that are not actively performing in the project (exception: director, choreographer...)
We reserve the right not to pay a higher fee, if the collaboration for the participation at Raw Matters is not clear.

Criteria for application and selection
• Artists developing a completely new idea will be given preference over those already in the middle of a process
• Availability and participation at all feedback meetings as well as the location tour
• Motivation to be in an artistic exchange with the other participating artists
• Artists should have their place of residence in Austria
• WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT ONE APPLICATION PER PERSON/ GROUP!
